screen recording software for capturing Web Cam video?

I want to get a dropcam and be able to record video from it while viewing it on my Note3. is there software that can do this?

What device/Android version? Unfortunately, good screen recording software doesn't seem to exist unless you use Android 4.4 and newer.

I use this on my S4 on 4.3. Requires root. Amazingly easy and slick. No setup. Just push the record button and the video of the Android screen (along with sound from the microphone) gets captured. Great quality and seems well compressed (small file size). The only limitation of the free version is a "watermark" displayed on the screen and a limit of 3-minute per video, max.

Also (perhaps not surprising), no other apps can use the mic while you're recording. So you can't record a video showing Google Now reacting to "ok google..."
