I know its been touched on before in the middle of another thread but I think it might be worth mentioning again.

Quite a few posters on here liked the darker screen that gokhanmoral gave in his battery.zip for the Siyah kernel v2.6 and welcomed the battery savings that a dimmer screen gave as screen display is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, consumer of battery power.

However, these scripts are no longer used by Siyah and you could, of course, write your own script for this if you know how but if you are using the JKay Deluxe Settings, that now come with JKay themes or download an earlier stand-alone, .apk, version that may be compatible with your ROM, you can change your default screen settings as follows-

Deluxe Settings > Auto brightness profile > Select from Darkest/Darker/Dark/Normal/Bright/Brightest

Your Display in Settings has to be set to Auto brightness for this to take effect after either, a) a reboot or b) shining a light on the front sensor to activate it, or c) wait for your screen to change brightness levels naturally.

Download theme or Deluxe Settings.apk here in post #2:-

Hope this helps. :D
