Shuffle music on Nexus 4

How do I set the music to 'shuffle' on my Nexus 4. Using ver 4.4 Kit Kat

When the track is playing, tap the bar at the bottom of the screen to bring up the bit with the progress bar and Play/Pause/Rewind/FastFwd buttons. To the right of the fast forward button is an icon with two crossing arrows: tap that. When it's orange, shuffle is on.

You may also need to clear the queue - on the same screen, tap Menu (three vertical dots) and Clear queue
