Social Networks Update interval issue

You can not turn off the twitter update on the eris. You can turn off facebook and flickr updates all together. Anyone know how to address this of if HTC is aware of this bug.
I use Seesmic for twitter because peep is ok but kind of lacking on any usefull features and peep is always running in the background no matter if you even kill it.

If you are having the problem with Seesmic then it is an issue with their app and you would need to contact them to get it resolved. If you are referring to a problem with Peep then you simply need to open the app, hit the menu button and settings > Send & receive > Check frequency and change it to manual. This should set the app to only update when you tell it to.
