I recently discovered I had a problem with the headphone jack on my Moto E 2nd gen. It is causing the inline controls signal to go haywire and keeps dropping volume, launching Google now at random when my headphones with a mic are in.
I googled this problem and found an app called SoundAbout that gives me the option to ignore mic pin on TRRS plug but it does not work?
How can I make phone ignore any so called line control signals entirely?
Can it be done or is my phone just busted? The loudspeaker is already busted so I have almost no sound.
