[Sprint] Can I upgrade to EVO3D within first 30 days of contract?

Just switched over to Sprint/Evo 4G after almost 10 years of Verizon /Droid 1. I'm planning on using my 30 day guarantee to return my Evo 4G and get a 3D. Anyone have any clue whether Sprint will accept this?

I cant see why they wouldnt. I work with some one that is doing the exact same thing. I would expect to pay the diffrence as the EVO 4g and EVO 3d are diffrent prices both on contract and off. Other than some money out of pocket I would think you are fine.

Yes, they will... If you are new customer, you get one "return" without any penalty as long as it is within 30 days. You can then get your EVO3D

Yup they sure will. Now the question is will you be able to get the 3D?

I talked to the manager at my Sprint store because I'm doing the same and he said its fine. He even told me to tell the salesman to call him if he isn't there.

I was going to do this at first, before they extended the port in credit. I talked to a store supervisor and they told me they would charge me a restocking fee. I talked to them about the 30 day worry free return thing. They said I could do that without paying the restocking fee but they could not waive it for a return like this.

I called customer care and they told me the same thing. I still think they can and will just depending on who you talk to.

Yeah, if you tell them I only want the phone for 30 days because I want the new one that is not out yet they will probably tell you that you need to pay a restocking fee, its bad for their numbers when you return something.

Well it worked for me but I did have to pay a restocking fee. I just gave in and paid it rather than argue with god knows how many people.

He said the fee was because I bought the phone from telesales and was returning it to a store.
