Root [Sprint/Cricket] Updating a Rom

When you update a custom ROM such as Blazer all you do is install the zip without doing a factory reset and you won't lose your data or settings right?

Correct. Usually just wipe cache/dalvik (which is what most people suggest), also known as a 'dirty flash' over at XDA.

If it uses Aroma, I'm really not sure how to do it as I've never 'dirty flashed' a rom that used Aroma Installer. I always assumed it would auto-wipe everything, so I factory reset every time.

Can someone either confirm or deny my assumption? Thanks!
