Stock headset: Imterference and wifi issues

Just been listening to music through the supplied headset and I noticed a bit of popping and fizzing when the music was paused. Now, when I enabled WiFi it got worse and the WiFi signal seemed poor with the headphones in. Web pages that usually load immediately were hanging.

Anyone else having headset issues?
