Help Strange internet connection issue

Really weird one this folks,

I got a Wildfire S on three in the UK, it will connect to internet no bother at all via WiFi and via the high speed mobile broadband (H) but will not pass data at all when connected to GPRS or EDGE (G & E).

Got me baffled totally. I have to keep manually swapping between WCDMA & GSM/WCDMA modes to get the best DATA or Voice coverage.

As far as I'm aware the settings are all correct for my APN, well they are according to three.

Has enyone else seen this issue before and did you get any resoloution on it?

How are you swapping the connection modes? There's a menu you can access by typing *#*#4636#*#* which allows you to specify what connection type the phone should default to.
