I recently flashed the LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 ROM. Shortly after, I was finally able to use my Volume+ app to go +16. Previously I could only go up to +15 (+16 would decrease the volume). Not sure it matters, but it's a data point.

Subsequently, but a few days after, my headset suddenly started sounding incredibly distorted. It's a Bluetooth set, but I had to take it off because it was so bad. Later on, I tried the Bluetooth in my car...same thing. Checked out the phone speaker - terrible, as well. I really think it is only when I'm listening to music, Google Play or Pandora. YouTube and the speakerphone work fine....that takes care of my concern that my speakers were blown.

Anybody know what's going on with this? Thanks.

Uninstalled Volume+ and it was working again. It looks like that the app doesn't work well with Jelly Bean anymore. So, it's gone and I'll live with the normal volume.
