I recently flashed the LiquidSmooth 4.2.2 ROM. Shortly after, I was finally able to use my Volume+ app to go +16. Previously I could only go up to +15 (+16 would decrease the volume). Not sure it matters, but it's a data point.
Subsequently, but a few days after, my headset suddenly started sounding incredibly distorted. It's a Bluetooth set, but I had to take it off because it was so bad. Later on, I tried the Bluetooth in my car...same thing. Checked out the phone speaker - terrible, as well. I really think it is only when I'm listening to music, Google Play or Pandora. YouTube and the speakerphone work fine....that takes care of my concern that my speakers were blown.
