Trashing my Asian Hero

OMG! I bought my Asian HTC Hero last summer because of all the hype. Back then, there was no mention of it coming to the U.S. so went for it. But for the past few months it has been very laggy. Apparently, the firmware updates that are out now are NOT for the asian versions. I really really want to chunk it!

Firmware 1.5, Build number 1.76.405.6 SUCKS!!

It's laggy, sometimes non-responsive, and the scrolling on its own....arg!

You should just flash to a custom ROM. Since you're still on 1.76, the MoDaCo Guide stickied should work just fine.

Maybe, but it's also a WWE (world-wide English) build so I don't see why 2.73.405.5 wouldn't work. Have you tried downloading it from HTC's support site? Updating might just be a lot simpler than you thought!

If its not one thing its another. HTC Sync still says disconnected when I have it connected to pc. However, I can upload the pics and videos to my pc.
