UFL

I'm glad the season doesn't start until March 30th. Going up against March Madness they didn't have a chance.

Guessing nobody continued to watch this? I never watched a single game.

So apparently this league is back on as there was a game last night. Players were apparently threatening to strike, but decided against it. Imagine being an unemployed football player and getting an opportunity to shine on TV for a chance of an NFL team seeing you and you want better wages from this startup nobody's watching or going to game league. NIL in college is making everyone greedy

I watched a few games last year. If you had a local team it would be more entertaining. Cream rises to the top so I think it's a great B or AAA sort of league that stand out player might get a chance to move up. I'm with you, they are silly if they think there is more money in their league for players. At least they combined the two wannabe leagues last year so they had a fighting chance to survive.

I didn't watch a single game this season. I'm just honestly burned out on the whole spring football league trial and error thing. I hope it can last for the players looking to get that second chance they need to get into the NFL, but as far as watching it, I'm done.

Me too my friend. I wasn't a dedicated follower last year but watched some. Zero exposure this year and haven't missed it. It's watchable.. better than bowling or cornhole.. and golf for that matter. But this time of year there are better things I'd rather do.

My local U used to have a pretty good team to follow. They won the world series back in 89. I haven't watched them in a number of years. College is a great level of baseball to watch. You will see some incredible plays and some crazy mistakes. Fun ball. The NBC tournament used to be held in Wichita. I mostly lived in the stadium the week and two weekends of the tournament ever summer. My buddies that I sat with and rooted and drank beers with are all gone and the tournament moved here and there as they tore down that old stadium and built a new one. I miss that level of ball and the promising future of some of the athletes.

The Arkansas game was incredible yesterday. I was kind of rooting for Murray State as they are in the same conference as my daughter's school ( Missouri Valley Conference ), but not upset given it was to an SEC school. The Arkansas pitcher had a no hitter, and had a perfect game going until he hit a batter on the foot in the 8th inning. Last no hitter in the CWS was 1960 until yesterday. There has never been a perfect game in a CWS game.

The local U I spoke of above was Wichita State University.... no longer in the Missouri Valley but was for many decades.
