Root unlock upgraded i7500(android 1.6) phone

hi,

I am using samsung i7500. my device is also upgraded. the configuration is following:

Firmware version:
1.6
baseband version:
I7500XXJB2
kernel version:
2.6.29
root@sep-53 #1
build number:
Donut.XXJB6

now i want to unlock my device. i want to access root.
when i type su on the shell the following error appears

su: permission denied

help me! how can i solve it.

ok i have followed the steps mention in the link. but fail on step 8.
no push bites appear on the "fastboot mode".

i have down recovery-6.5.1 from the following link
