Root Update FA19 to FE16

If I ODIN this, will I be able to restore CTmod and SSM with CWM, without it restoring FA19? Or does this mean I gotta start from scratch again?

Can I just install the baseband
Yeah. I'm running just the FE-16 baseband with HoneyBread6 and all seems ok. I'm working on deodexing and tweaking the update as we speak. :D

Edit: So I have it deodexed, init.d, zipaligned, speedy media scanner, ext4, cwm Flashable and I'm about to test all the FE-16 Stocky goodness. Kouma, you may have Half-Assed V.2 real soon.

I already have a head start.
Even odexed, it's snappy as all hell just pure rooted stock on EXT with Overclock and KoumaMod

So what is the advantage of this being deodexed? Are we going to have a release of a new HalfAssRom?

I'm really diggin the new lockscreen. Kind of ICS ish.

Deodexing saves space on the system partition as well as speeds the system up a bit.

As for the Half-Assed Update, that's up to Kouma. I already have one fully ready to go.

Kouma: You want me to send you what I got?

Sure. I'm still experimenting with some alternative installation methods.
I'm hoping to find something cool

Here's what I did and what i got so far:

1. Went from FA19(root) to FE16(root) via Odin.
-did everything but the BOOT on ODIN

2. Right off the bat, drastic increase in speed(FA19 killed my 3G, I suppose)

3. Placed the newest CTMod on the phone(already partitioned SD Card, so i didn't take the step of doing so again)

So far, its great. I don't have the new lock screen on anymore, and the phone keeps requesting a system update. I dig the baseband, so I don't mind the system update prompt.

That's odd. I'm running the FE-16 baseband with HoneyBread6 and thus far no update notification.

Lipz probably has the update.zip in /cache still.

It is my understanding that Bloodawn stripped out the ability for the system to check for updates in CTMod, so no mater the version, it should not ask to update

strange...set up my account after installing. The market is wanting me to pay for apps I have already purchased! WTF???

Haha, yes indeed :p I deleted it and lo' and behold, no more prompt to update. Still running strong :)
