Help Update Problem

Hello,

I bought Samsung Galaxy before few days.. As I read in some forums n blogs about updating the phone that would increase the performance and especially the battery life which is too low in my mobile

1.) Model Number - Galaxy
2.) Firmware Version - 1.5
3.) Baseband Version - i7500DDII3
4.) Kernel Version - 2.6.27 imtrs@SE-S506 #5
5.) Build Number - 76XXCSDCBALUM6375

Now, i have installed latest version of NPS and its showing me 1 update of phone, but is not able to update. Please tell me can i update to version IH8 or IK4 ? Can I update using NPS or some external software like ODIN ?

Rule #1 about using NPS: Don't.
Rule #2 about using NPS: Don't ever.
NPS will not help you use your phone in any way, and will only clutter up your computer.

You should use Odin to update. It's very well described here, so have a look around.
