USB Drives on Tablets will do what?

With all this talk about USB ports on tablets, what exactly can they do?

I mean can the tablet play as the USB host, so lets say I could....plug my phone in via cable using PDAnet and have the phone charge while tethering to the tab?

Can it read external hard drives?

Can I plug in my digital camera and transfer pictures?

I am assuming connecting keyboards/mouse would work?

Just wondering because I don't know exactly what the USB would be useful for if it couldn't do the above. If it can do the above...that would be amazing.

Things I've plugged into my usb:

My 30 gig laptop drive in a usb case and FAT(ntfs doesn't work)
keyboard
mouse
usb hub (so I can have more ports for kb/m
Nokia cellphone (amazingly, it connected to the internet, I thought these things were proprietary)
ipod (like the pc, you can access the gallery, it follows the same filing protocol as a normal digicam so expect thumbdrives and digicams to work)

Things I've seen other people use:

wireless mouse (usb tranceiver)
3g modem (specific brands only, the one I have doeent work)
