USB icon not appearing in taskbar after rooting

I just rooted, but after doing the nandroid back-up, my usb icon won't show up & when i try to remount, says "device offline".

Sorry if this is a re-post.. tried search but nothing sounded like what I'm trying to get an answer on.

Please help? Thanks!

i'm having the same exact issue.. HTC Incredible.. rooted with Unrevoked using this walkthrough:

and since, no USB notification icon when i plug in the phone...


any one out there have any ideas what to try?

Actually.. turns out the comp just lost touch with the drivers. heres what worked for me. try: unplug phone & cord from computer & eachother. restart comp & reboot phone. Once comp is fully rebooted, plug usb cord in then into your phone. Hopefully itll come right back. after a nandroid boot, it took a day to come bak. noy sure why.
