It's funny seeing the people wondering if they can use this phone on Verizon. I bought the 6P to get away from Verizon. I'm done being charged $110/mo.
Right!? I'm happy with my $35 Cricket plan.

The issue I see with this site is: If I buy a 6P will Verizon issue me the proper SIM card or are they going to fight me about it? I don't want to order an $800 brick. I also don't want to rely on the nano cutter they mentioned from Amazon. That seems pretty shady to me.

I understand that every person's experience with a company differs. Mine is out of pure frustration with the Verizon's business end. I have been a VZW customer fro 14 yrs.Understand your frustration, but, Verizon is the only network that works everywhere.
AT&T is 2nd best, but even they have a lot of holes out there where they should NOT have holes. My buddy is an OTR driver, and he explores all of those holes for AT&T. And he yells at them when he looses coverage.
I am on Verizon, and almost never, ever, am where I cannot get a signal. Brief moments between two hill tops when I go into a deep ravine, etc... and it is very rural around where I am, can you see the barbed wire keeping those sheep at bay? That is my back yard. Those are my guard dogs, and they let me know when folks are snooping around.
Just this morning, I allowed a .223 to dispatch a coyote that did not belong here... my guards let me know he was here, and he met his dispatcher.
but, back on Verizon.... I wish you well for having left us.... and feel sorry for you when you leave a major metro area and "loose it all".
Yes, VZW is expensive, but you have to pay for those big cell towers... and VZW has more of them than anyone in the USA.
Seems like there's no Verizon specific reports yet, but this is troubling:

I think I'll at least wait until the 6p has been out for a while to pick it up as a backup just to make sure it's not as fragile as it appears in this video.
No simultaneous data and voice ... out of the box.
Since this thread has become a clearing house for Verizon-based 6P experiences, I thought I'd toss this tidbit out there. It surprised me the other day when I was on the phone with my girlfriend and she asked me how long it would take me to get across town to her house. I pulled my shiny Nexus 6P away from my ear to check traffic... and I couldn't do it. Then yesterday I was using my 6P as a hotspot for my tablet, and when I got a phone call, my data cut off.
Had I done some research I would've known about this beforehand. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I'm going to miss that functionality. Apparently, you can turn on "Advanced Calling 1.0" for simultaneous data and voice. I'm not sure if I'm going to turn on the feature, as there are some performance trade-offs like calls dropping if you go from LTE service to 3g service. Most of my info came from the reddit thread:

As for my sim card experience and coverage so far: Coming from a Motorola Droid Maxx, I didn't have issues finding a sim card. I just yanked it from my Maxx. My reception has been strong, but my city has solid Verizon coverage. The one place I have spotty coverage is in my office building (of all places)... the 6P seems to work just as well as my Maxx did in my office... which is to say, it ain't super crisp, but it gets the job done.
My big reception test will be Thanksgiving when I journey into the mountains to have turkey with my dad. I know exactly which rock outcroppings and trees I need to stand next to on his property to make calls and send texts. Then I'll know for sure how the Huawei reception compares to Motorola reception.
What you said is exactly my situation too. I have the same on my VZW account. I've had the same sim now for about the last four or five phones so I wonder if a new one would help my signal which isn't very strong at home or the office. I wondered if I took my phone to a corporate store if they would give me a new one. After all, I will be paying $20 more for unlimited data.I have reason to believe that Verizon's whitelisted the IMEIs of the Nexus 6p. When I first swapped my sim into the Nexus 6 last December, it said something along the lines of "Non-VZW device". When I swapped it into my 6p, it says "Huawei - H1511".

If true, this would let people activate unactivated SIMs in the 6p.
Verizon has been selling the N6 since earlier this year. However I bought mine from Motorola and it was always listed as "NON VZW DEVICE" on my account. I suppose because it's not the Verizon version, loaded with their bloat. The Nexus 6 is currently on sale on the Verison website...

they don't list the 6p though.

Yes, my N6P is my second non-Verizon phone and I love it. Well in the last 13 months, I bought three new phones all at full price. I may have a problem. My Droid Turbo is like new and nothing wrong with it. The same with my N6. I love the new toys also. Luckily my wife is cool about it. I am paying off my debt now while planning on retirement. But like you, I hate the fact of not having extra money for a new phone or a new car like I am used to now.which is a good thing, and the reason I am going to get a Non-Verizon phone next time.
I'm just in a quandary about having to fork over a lot of money to get a new device, when the Galaxy S5 is working "just fine", does not crash, plugs along everyday doing what it should....
the problem is, I am getting jaded at not having a "new toy" to mess with...
But, being retired means that the ole play money is not all that plentiful....
