yes, stock image. But never mind. I think I found what I needed with Wugs Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5.2. Is this a good program in your opinion? What toolkit is the best for the VZ GNex?

i personally do not use toolkits, to me it isnt a safe bet as the complete noob friendly detailed way of returning your device to stock that i have created above.

Yes, the "up" button on the volume rocker no longer functions/operates. Hoping it was a software issue, I tried wipes, different flashes, stock, taken OTAs, etc. But to no avail...*sigh*

It seems I have no choice but to return it to Sammy. I'm very reluctant to do so as I'm worried they will find some evidence of root...in which case I'm assuming I would need to pay to get it back. And that cost would likely exceed what I'd be willing to pay.

I've read through the warranty(because i was curious about people claiming rooting voids warranty - it doesn't), and as long as the defect wasn't caused by a software you installed, you should be in the good. I'd still return it to stock just so they don't try and say it's because of the software.
