Help Weird Contact issue

this is really weird and has to do w/ pictures for contacts...

I have added pictures to my contacts....icon if you will. Than I have made shortcuts to these contacts on a home screen. I did 3 of them last week....and the pictures for the contacts have all shown up properly in the contact list as well as as a shortcut on that home screen.

Today I added 3 more.....only they don't show up as pictures in the shortcuts on the home screen....only in the list? Wtf?

keep in mind, I'm new to Android....but this is baffling.

If you added the pics after making the shortcut just delete the shortcut and make them again, they may not autoupdate, at least right away.
