WhatsApp made a pretty huge announcement today: the company has enabled end-to-end encryption for all users of their app, no matter which method they're using to communicate, no matter who they're communicating with, no matter how many people they're communicating with, and no matter which devices they're using. This means that not even they know what data is being sent through their network.
