I'm way overloaded with pictures. I have drop box but that is completely full. I also have photobucket and google drive however there is a limit to how much you can store on them. So today I been putting what pictures I can on my computer but it would be nice to have access to them wherever I go on my phone. Sure I can pay to have more storage on any of them but im not gonna do that. Im just curious what everyone else does?

Do you need/want access to all of them? I will keep the good pics and ones I want to share on my phone for easy access, then store the rest on my computer to save space.

It said it had a 10gb limit right on the play store. But no I don't have a tb worth of pics and videos. Maybe more like 10-15gb. Guess that's what ill have to do... keep the ones I want on google drive or drop box and transfer the rest to my computer and get a 1tb card or external hd.

Im picture and video crazy on my phone because of all those good moments with the family and my wife is into photography so she takes a crap load of pictures with her dslr as well. But im only counting what I have taken. But was also wondering because I'd hate for my computer or storage device to take a craps and loose everything. Guess that's the chance you take huh.

Why not create your own cloud with BitTorrent Sync and your computer?

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bittorrent.sync&hl=en

Anything man-made is going crash some time, just keep several backup copies.

2 external hard drives. I TF some by Dropbox to the phone if I want them. Yahoo does have a lot of storage, and I do have a Flickr account.

    wow.. thanks for the info.

on my NOTE3.. that is the lowest pic size setting. 2.4meg pic
I might have to make this my standard backup.

need to read about their policy about ownership.. and privacy of the pics that are stored there.

granted my pics are NOT bad.. but I don't want personal pics of my family out in the world

You can take pictures at any size you want. When they get uploaded, they get converted to standard size anyway. You don't need to change any settings on your camera.

I was think.. like other photo sites.. they let your store stuff.
but also have the right to use your photos in any money making plan they want. advertising.. etc...

are there wordings in the policy .. state that pics are the property of the user. and private.. not to be used by google or any one else.????

    that is cool..
so there will be 2 versions. big in my camera/phone.
    and 2.4mb version in google+

I don't think they actually use it like fb has the terms too. Its just a storage cloud service.

no one does it for free.. there is always something.. that they get out of it.

sometimes.. it is just traffic to their service or web site. so you can see advertising.
    there is always something.

I prefer not to rely on the cloud, therefore I use a five bay Synology DiskStation DS1513+ as part of my home network. It's a fast highly scaleable robust arrangement that has served me well. Prior to the 1513 I used an earlier version of Synology NAS, it's reliability was stellar and maintenance is minimal. Well worth it for security and up time.

I am right up there with you. I don't trust the "cloud" unless it is mine. I have the 1512+ though. With 12 terabytes of space.
