Why was Colin McRae removed from the Play Store?

I sent Codemasters an email in regards to when they'd bring it back but nothing concrete. What makes me wonder is why did they pull it from the Play Store?
I've tried it and it's easily the best rally game on Android. It looks like the PS1 game remastered for Android and that's awesome!

It's a good 'un that's for sure. Codemasters have a long history of making great driving games.

Download Hola and select a country where it may be availble.

Let us konw which country selection works.

Can you see it? I get this -

"Sorry! This content is not available in your country yet.
We're working to bring the content you love to more countries as quickly as possible.
Please check back again soon."

Have you downloaded it previously?

Ah... ok i had bought it before..

So, it appears that it hasn't been yanked from the playstore... its just that codemasters no longer want to sell it to people and it is just there for people to re-download etc...

The port wasn't done by codemasters themselves, but a 3rd party called thumbstar games (and it is the official version as it was linked via the codemasters website).

My guess is that contract expired in 2015/2016, and so they pulled the app from sales

I think they're no longer in business, and their website is dead. So won't be any more updates or support for this game at all.

What a shame. So anyone who'll want it has to get it not so legal.

:thumbsupdroid: Oppo appstore in China...

I remember when this game was on sale for super cheap, just didn't expect it to be pulled from the Play Store.

Good luck! You're on your own with this game. Oppo R9 Plus.

...in English only, no Chinese.

I guess it got pulled from Google Play because it's discontinued, unsupported, and no guarantees of compatibility.

BTW back in the day I bought and played the original Playstation version.

How do I keep my andoid Moto phone on permenently I am so frustrated
As a general rule you've a better chance of getting a good answer if you start a new thread, rather than tacking your question on to an unrelated discussion. This isn't just a matter of etiquette (hijacking a discussion of someone else's problem is considered bad manners), but because people will look at the thread title to see whether it's something they can help with, so if your question is hidden in a different discussion people who might be able to help you will probably never see the question.

When you do this, please post as clear and detailed a description of your problem as possible. For example, I'm guess that you want set the phone so that the screen never times out, but am not 100% sure ("keeping a phone on" has some ambiguity). Disabling the screen timeout is not a standard Android setting, but you can do it using an automation app like Tasker or MacroDroid (Tasker certainly can create a toggle or condition to do this, I don't have MacroDroid installed to check).

I'll admit, I downloaded the APK/OBB to a spare Android and while it did say it may not work properly it ran buttery smooth.
Here's hoping this game sees the light of day again, legally.
