I used to have a great widget on my BB which showed my two most current emails as well as two current events scheduled for that day taking up the screen. Is there a similar widget for Android? It would be nice to dedicate one page to that widget as I don't need to see my icons all day long.

Well, first, welcome! What device are you using because some have dedicated stock widgets.
Second there are lots of Gmail/email and calender widgets available in the Market. Some free, some paid. Do a couple searches in the Play Store and you'll find what you need to have everything set up like you'd like.

Thanks. I have a Samsung Galaxy and our corporate mail has just moved to Exchange so I thinking there's got to be something out there that'll do what I want.

I believe K9 mail has a widget along with Touchdown. Give them both a shot.
