If the AllShare Cast thing works on the GS3 I'd say it will work on the Note 2. I'm hoping for wireless charging but they didn't announce it with the product in Berlin so I doubt it (natively).

I can confirm that it does so I just answered my own question. There will be special battery covers for both S3 and Note 2 to support inductive charging. Notice the 2 golden pins inside both phones. That's for wireless charging.

Just to clarify: the contacts on the battery cover of the Note 2 are for the NFC antenna, not for wireless charging. The S3 put the NFC antenna in the battery, and the battery cover was nothing more than a sheet of plastic.

Note that eBay item states it only works on a Touch Stone charger for a Pre. Other chargers, like one that Samsung will eventually release, might work on a different inductive frequency, who knows.
It would be so awesome if the Note 2 supports wireless charging.
For a parent like me who uses the phone as a lightsource when checking to the little one during the night, I have always found it rather annoying when I have to disconnect and connect the wire everytime. This will be so much easier with wireless charging.
Anyone who happens to know if it will be on same frequency as others, like the Lumia 920, so you will be able to use the wireless charging at those coffee houses who made a deal with Nokia (hope you know of which I am thinking )
Or does each company use their own frequency so you still need your own charger every time?
First off there are 2 different types of note 2s the ones with wireless charging support and the ones without. The ones with wireless charging have the golden pins near the battery, this feature will be unlocked with the purchase of a yet to be released battery cover from samsung(there are a third-party ones floating around online, which shouldn't be different from final product.) Above those golden pins are another set of golden pins which is the NFC pins, which connect to the stock back cover to enable NFC connectivity.
There are some notes that support wireless charging and others that don't? Are these releases specific to certain carriers, or is it just luck of the draw?
Sadly Verizon (go figure) is one of the few carriers that decided the Note II shouldn't have wireless charging. You have to physically pull the back apart to get to the pins for wireless charging.
