Wireless LAN data transfer

I was trying to get a file (700MB) from LAN through ES File Explorer app, everything works fine until the phone goes to sleep, after that it stops. I've set Screen Timeout to be disabled, and it works fine now, only now the phone has to be awake all the time. Is there any way the file transfer not to stop when the phone goes to sleep?

Try ScreenModeWidget from Market, I think it will do what you want. Haven't tried it myself though..

Go to Settings > Wireless Controls > Wi-Fi Settings > Menu Key > Advanced.

The Wi-Fi sleep policy can be changed to tell your phone to never sleep the Wi-Fi connection. By default, when the screen goes off, Wi-Fi sleeps.
