I managed to look my pattern on my phone and it prompted me with my gmail account to unlock and sign in. No way as i had previously reset my password on gmail via the pc. This does not update on your mobile phone, so it does not recognise your username and password.
Found a solution i want to share, call your mobile and answer (U still can) then end the call. When the call ends quickly press your menu and home key quickly one after each other. This will keep the phone unlocked and allow you to disable the lock patter.
You may have to call your mobile a few times to catch the end of the call. Feel free to email if you need further info,
