I hear people complaining about not being able to root this phone, and I understand. It would be nice to overclock and tweak other aspects of the OS. But, then I hear of recent threats to the Android OS that secretly root phones and install malware.

It sorta makes me feel good that my phone isn't rootable :)

Yes this is true. Most ripoff websites will say that they can root your phone model. Unfortunately it's not actually rootable. So these sites will want you to download the 'rooting'  apk and or software if on a PC. Blah blah blah... Says you're rooted. You actually aren't rooted. Just plain malware that's been installed into your phone. Also maybe computer if used it. Main reason people should have an antivirus (I recommend Bitdefender). Malware blah blah. You messed up big time for downloading fake rooting apps.

Yes, there's always a threat of viruses when installing apps from unknown sources or visiting infected sites. But, my point about our ZMAX PRO is that it's one of the safest Android phones. There is a new type of malware in the Android universe and it's serious stuff. It ROOTS phones (without the user knowing) and injects code into parts of the OS. Since the ZMAX PRO is currently not rootable, it's a very safe phone.

Indeed, you're correct. I agree somewhat glad it isn't rootable.
