Missing widgets after both OTA 2.1 updates

After a successful 2.1 update my noticed the following missing:
- Friend Stream
- Mail widgets

Any idea what's going on?

Unless this is some known bug with the OTA updates that I haven't head about yet, this is what I'd try:

Go to, settings, applications, manage applications, click on HTC sense and then choose to clear data. Missing widgets is a bug you often get when updating to new version of custom firmware and this always fixes it.

You will have to remake your homescreens though if you do this.

Just tried it but with no luck. Widgets are still missing
Should I try going back to 1.5 and update again ?

How would you do that? Going back to 1.5 I mean (if you have gone the official way)? But do a factory reset maybe will help

It might just let you downgrade or you might have to make a goldcard.

Yeah you may as well try a factory reset before doing anything as drastic as that.

Using the stock 1.5 ruu update from htc.

Ill try the factory reset, but im pretty sure it wont work

I cant believe im the only one having this issue.

And btw, is it possible to make the Latitude widget actually show the map? The live walls are missing, too

Oh btw I dont have them too and I did the factory reset already soo scratch my advice to do that

That's just ridiculous!

I'll tell you what's missing on mine:

Friendstream, Mail widgets, Gallery, Eclair lock screen, Latitude widget doesn't show the map and... that's how far I've gone trough it...

Yop according to the technician at HTC there should be in the menu privacy a backup option... Me not having it there. Do you? We probably have to buy a 60Mhz faster phone at least to be able to enjoy this

I already wrote here somewhere that I cant calibrate the G-sensor option missing but this might the standard 2.1 issue?(was waiting for 2.1 just cuz of this I didnt ask my carrier for a new phone ... for a half year)

There was one good thing about the factory reset more services vanished. For example something called update 1 something was always active after the reset thats gone.

Hahahaha... the G calibration is also missing...

Trust me, I want to throw this glitchy brick at the wall... God... I'll wait for a Gingerbread phone and then shoot this "Hero" with my rifle!!

Friendstream, the 3D Gallery and Live Wallpapers aren't included in 2.1 for the Hero afaik, and SenseUI uses its own lockscreen rather than the stock Eclair one. Can't help with the Mail widgets (presumably HTC Mail?) as removed the app from my own ROM.

I have no Friendstream or App sharing on my OTA updated Orange Hero. No gallery nut Albums has been renamed to Photos in the menu.

Didn't expect 3D gallery or live wallpapers in this update wit the CPU being what it is. Mail widget is present and is as per 1.5, can't get the map to show on Latitude either. Was there supposed to be a separate Navigation App hjere though?

Didn't think you could have a rifle in the UK! After upgrading to 2.1 I deleted my mailboxes and reinstalled using the new mail icon from the applications menu. Works fine.
