Root Not a noob but need help with wifi tethering after custom rom

Wireless tether worked perfectly before installing custom rom. I still have android.tether folder on sd card with fw bcm4329 but cant get wireless tethering to work again. can revert to stock nandroid backup and wireless tether works fine please help me out????? i Have posted a couple times with no answer to my problem. Come on guy please help me out

Yes it is a system app that came with the rom so it cant be uninstalled

rm it from a terminal then install the market version.

yes tried that with better terminal maybe i put command in wrong in help with that ?????

you would have to open up a command prompt on your computer then reboot your phone into recovery and mount system then you can


/system/bin/rm /system/app/wifitether.apk or whatever the exact name of the apk is

yeah that is the command i used except wirelesstether.apk i couldnt ever get the app removed i tried terminal to remove finally got it work had to go to manage apps and clear cache and got it going again kinda strange
