Someone suggested I make my own thread which probably makes sense instead of cluttering up the other thread.
Anyway here are pics of it.
I just got it today from someone who got it from the press conference in NY last month. First thing I did was go to a Verizon store to make sure I had insurance on it and the guy told I indeed did so no worries there!
From what I can tell so far this thing is AWESOME but you didn't need me to tell you that right? haha
Anyway things like battery life and such I won't know for obvious reasons.
I'm currently using launcher pro. I like having stationary icons at the bottom of the page. Only downfall is that I can't resize widgets. This I found annoying but I'm sure a new launcher pro update will get rid of this and allow use to resize.
Small text on a web pages do look pixelated BUT there is a Motorola update coming out that takes care of this problem thankfully. Probably be available on the 15th.
Call quality seems better then my Droid. The stock messaging app is pretty awesome. I don't feel the need to install Handcent.
The external speaker isn't as loud as the original Droid. I'd say the original Droid is about 25% louder.
The multi-touch keyboard is pretty nice. My only complaint is they made the spacerbar way to small. I could definitely do without the voice input button on the left side and the semicolon on the right side. Haven't tried swype yet but plan to.
I was able to launch the Blockbuster App and it updated successfully. Didn't try much beyond that.
Web browser is really nice. All this screen real estate is a nice coming from a D1. Actually navigating is a smooth experience. Smoother then my D1 with Froyo.
Overall I love it. It's not as snappy as my Droid is 2.2 running @ 800mhz but the web browser is definitely smoother. 2.2 will make this device even more amazing. I can't wait to figure the rest of this phone out. Like I said I've only had it for a couple hours.
Any other questions please feel free to shoot away!
