where can i get a replacement battery cover

ok, had same issue lost mine in airport screening, emptied my pockets and off came the cover and I never noticed it. First I called Moto, dumb move, spoke to more people in India than I ever care too. Could not help, or at least the 8 people I spoke to. Called verizon, rep was great called 4 local stores, found one and had them hold it for me for free. Awesome, and I usually don't say that about verizon.

BTW love the phone

Sooo.. I don't have a problem with my battery cover. My problem is that flimsy speaker cover. While trying to take off my battery cover I dented it fairly easily. Pretty ugly now. Any one else have a similar issue? Btw, didn't mean to hijack the thread:(

Most of the mesh is just for show, but around the middle there is a whole that mesh can dent into. It is very soft metal and is easily broken

I have a similar problem, the battery cover comes undone easily in the process of regular handling, taking it out of my pocket etc. Looks like a manufacturing problem. Has anyone noticed this? I am going to the store to see if they can fix it. Have had the droid for 2 wks, love it.

I went in to the local Verizon store, and while I was waiting, a man next to me came in and was telling the manager of the Stevens Creek, Cupertino, store, that he lost the back cover of his Droid. It apparently fell off without his knowledge. The manager gave him a replacement one. At this juncture, I mentioned my problem with a loose cover. The manager just did not want to hear it. Said,he has never heard it, I was applying too much pressure, I should reapply the protective skin to overlap the cover, ie, stick it with a tape!, he just did not want to hear aproblem with the device.
This looks like a real issue. Are more people experiencing this?
The store manager's attitude was unbelievable.
I love my Droid, but, if there are issues, it needs to looked at, sticking a tape, after shelling out $199, and a plan which will cost me $2400 for 2 yrs is absurd.

If you go to Motorolla online chat they will replace for free. I agree after coming from a blackberry where I basically had to break my phone in half to remove the battery cover, the droid is way too easy to remove. A sliding lock or something would have been much better. Love the phone and this is really my only gripe about the physical hardware so I will deal.
