need help to pick up a new phone for the missus!

Hey guys

My wedding anniversary is around the corner and I want to buy a new phone for the missus, and I can use any help to make me decide on a phone. She's not really into electronics and stuff so the looks and appearance of the phone is quite important. I wanted to get the iphone 4 first (even though I hate it, I have and HTC desire BTW) but the white one isn't out yet which looks cooler. Anyway, I guess I'm gonna go for an android phone so I can customize it and set it up the way she likes, and I have few ones in mind.

First the white Xperia X10 which looks quite stylish and cool but i'm not sure about its screen, the lack of multi-touch and the cupcake version of android on it. My second option is the HTC legend, which looks nice too, but I guess the X10 is much nice in terms of appearance.

These are the phones I have in mind, and I would like to hear your opinion guys about what I should get, any help would be much appreciated.

I live in the UK BTW.

I got that covered mate, don't worry about it I just need a phone for her that she would keep liking it for a long time to come (and save me some money in the long run )

Give us some more info on the Mrs. Is she a bit of a geek or a fashion princess? Does she prefer a soft keyboard or hardware? Does she like a big screen or prefer a little phone? does battery life a big issue? There's no perfect phone. Everybody has deal breakers but they're not all the same ones.

well, as I said before, she's not really into geeky stuff and she's not the type of person who keeps up with updates on the world of computers, gadgets and electronics and stuff. So I'm looking for a phone that looks nice, has an attractive and user-friendly UI, I guess battery life is not an issue and so is the physical keyboard.
