Help How to make DroidX vibrate for texts, ring for calls?

I've searched the forums and didn't see this one.

I'm new to Droid and the interface but am hoping I'm just missing something obvious.

How do I make my DroidX vibrate for text messages but, at the same time, ring for calls? At work, I want to know about calls but texts can typically wait.

I greatly appreciate all your help!

You have two options...

One - Go into your text program either default or hancent, whatever, then hit the menu button and go to notifications. For text, change the ringer to none and check the box that says vibrate. Voila

two - If you want to set up profiles, there are apps where you can set certain times of the day to do what with which. So for example, you could get "timeriffic" and set it so that from 8 to 5, notification volume is zero and vibrate is on, while ringer volume is nice and loud.

Whichever you prefer!

Thanks SO much for the fast and very helpful reply. I'm very new to Droid so I love this forum exists with users helping other users so quickly.

I don't have hancent (yet). What's your opinion on it?

Handcent is the ONLY way to go seperate notification ringtones and led colors AND the ability to block dsenders who are annoying
