Need some help with these two laptops...PLEASE!!!

I'm in the market for a new laptop and was wondering if I can get some advice between a Gateway and a Samsung. I already have the gateway but I'm not too sure how I feel about it. Its fast and responsive but the comfortablitly and travel of the left click on the mouse is just way tooo long. I have never had a Samsung comp and don't know how trustworthy these are. Any info and insight on these two would be helpful would be welcomed

Gateway - Laptop / Intel® Core™ i3 Processor / 14" Display / 4GB Memory / 500GB Hard Drive - Silver - ID49C07u

Samsung - Laptop with Intel® Core™ i3 Processor - Red/Black - NP-R480-JAB1US

My wife has a Gateway laptop and it's been fixed about 4 times by Best Buy why it was under warranty. I'm on my second Toshiba laptop (sold the first one) and the only complaint I have is how sensitive the touch pad is when your typing it will jump your mouse around. I've had my laptop for almost a year now and running Win 7 64-bit pro with no issues on it.

**I mis read the first post. Thought you where comparing to a Toshiba laptop which is what I have, I had a brain fart. I'd still take the Samsung over the Gateway.**

Well thanks for your opinion SoulTerror. It actually helped me make up my mind to take my comp back to best buy and pick up something else. I got a Toshiba Portege r705. It was more money but worth every penny. It had the exacts specs that I was looking for in size and functionality. Plus, b/c nobody in the comp dept helped me the store manager took off an extra 10%. I've had really good experiences with Toshiba so thanks for helping me make my mind up

Gateway are terrible, at least their business end is. At work we had an older gateway that we tried to get restore discs for. It was an XP machine but also a tablet PC. We tried finding a download or purchase link...nothing. We tried contacting customer service...nothing. We even tried to purchase a gateway machine and could not get 1 human being on the phone. Turns out their business support got sold to a third party company that went bankrupt. In turn there is nothing we could do to get support for this laptop.

Thanks for the help but I already picked up the Toshiba Portege R705. Im pretty happy with it. It says it can get over 8 hrs of battery life and a tester on this site has confirmed that it is possible. I just have to find what eco setting I need in order to get this done. I am extremely happy with this comp and the lady at the cust service desk gave me a descent discount.
