Help Unable to Set Up pop email account

I'm having trouble sending emails with my pop email account (cox communications). I receive emails fine. However, I get a message stating "unable to send email." I tried deleting and setting up the account again. It seems to accept the pop/outgoing information. However, I get a message after submitting the smtp information stating "unable to connect to the mail server . . . server not responding."

Thoughts? Is there another email program I could try?

Not sure if this will help but POP3 and IMAP Email settings for Gmail, Yahoo and Hotmail

You could try k9 from the market. I've heard good things about it but I, personally, don't use it
