I cant make it work. i get different errors each time. Very frustrating. I have tried it with the sd mounted and unmounted. I have tried the latest version and it finds the device but says reboot adb (which I am still not clear on) or device not found or says it will take 2 min and then hangs for ever. I guess I will wait awhile. I do miss the froyo that I had on my rooted droid. apps2sd and flash was nice too.
I too am missing my rooted Froyo Droid, but give it time and the Epic will be better. Within a couple of weeks we will be rooted with Froyo and have all the goodies to go along with it!
Daddy....I am like you I am coming from a TP2 and was afraid to root...till a YouTube Video came out, very easy to follow and Wifi Tethering works like a charm.
hi, followed ur video, downloaded wireless tethering, installed, got it to work, but cant seen to be able to connect to it (cant find my phone on my laptop) help please?

Ok so i'm rooted and the tethering app runs on the phone but I can't seem to get it to connect to the computer. The computer sees the network android tether and just sits there attempting to connect... Also something interesting, after I did the root my phones touchscreen will not work when the phone is plugged in to charge... Thoughts?
I can't seem to download the drivers from the site in the post at XDA, and the drivers I download from Softpedia don't seem to work. Any ideas or suggestions on what I might be doing wrong?
(NM, I figured it out, had to mount the SD card, in case you are also having the same problem.)
