OK, so i have a BT headset not sure which model but it's the one that came with Socom PS3 game, I have used it for about two years, first with my samsung eternity, and i was able to listen to music with it. Now i have my CAPPY and it will not play any media thru the headset. Why? I"ve tried all the bluetooth settings that others have told me to try. Aparrently my Bt is an older format. My questions are: Which bluetooth format do i need to play music, 2.0? or something else? Also what BT sets do you have and what do you recommend?

Yes the Captivate is BT 3.0 but it is also backward compatible. I use the Motorola BT Stereo headset S9 HD and I love them, great sound quality.

I was looking at those, i will use my phone for phone calls but also for music. I like the fact that it's like a wired set w/o the wires...freedom! But since you can use those as a phone call device where is the mic? Noise cancelation? How's the phone quality cuz i have no complaints about the BT i have now and my wife can't even tell the difference whether i'm on bt or phone. Can you have just one ear bud in and leave the other out? While on the phone calls that is, or to hear surrounding noises. Thanks OH sorry the main issue is finding ones that will play music from my cappy, my current bt doesn't.

The mic is in the back of the headset. I can make and receive calls even while listening to music. The music pauses automatically when I answer calls and resumes automatically when I end the call. If you have long hair, the sets become "invisible" and since the mic is also invisible, people think I'm talking to myself everytime on the phone. LOL. The headset has controls for up/down volume, answer phone, pause, forward/backward track which I find very convenient. The best part is the sound quality is fantastic.

Wouldn't that make your voice seem really far away from the mic? Ppl ever complain about not hearing you very good? Can you have just one ear piece in at a time? I think i would rather have just a regular one earpiece model. So what format does a BT have to be to play music thru our phone? 2.0 or higher?

I want to be able to hear the surrounding noises, i do contruction and i also need to hear what else is goin on. I'm worried if i have both ears plugged that i won't hear everything. I listen to music and can get my phone calls. As of now tho i can't only get phone calls with this BT. My old phone "samsung eternity" i could listen to music but not with my new cappy and i don't know why, must be the format.
