Spreint will start releasing a new OTA update tomorrow. While unrevoked forever and 3.21 say you should keep root it may be a good idea to wait until others try. We will see here and in XDA people who are rooted take this update and let all know if you keep root or not. Remember that when ota 2.2 came out people lost root and those who did not root or took ota 2.2 and lost root had to wait about a month for a root exploit to be found. I love root, and roms based on this update will be available in a few days, so I suggest be patient and see how things turn out!

The major thing ive read is that it has gets rid of the 30 fps limit

Yeah I agree with this , I just rooted as well lastnight and installed Rom/Kernel . I am not gonna accept the update . I finially got root and I dont plan on taking any chances of loosing it LOL . Plus Im fairly content with my phone now . Its right where I want it to be in terms of life and performance . Im a firm believer "If it aint broke dont mess with it"

People who want to play it safe and not lose root: just wait, and the good developers at xda will come out with ROMs based on this OTA... as for the kernel i think everybody knows that all custom kernels out there unlock the fps cap, and improve battery life. If there's anything worthy in this kernel, when xda gets the source they'll improve it even further.
so my advice, just be patient ;)

I think some of the ROMs available on XDA already have this new OTA update included in them as it was leaked a few weeks ago; though someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Thinks this is actually a newer build: 3.29.651.5

The one they have been using for a few weeks is based on: 3.28.651.1
Thats the one that I have using Fresh EVO.

Is there a way to disable OTA updates? Do I just not except when it asks to update and re-boot?
sorry for the noob question...I'm learning.
Menu, Settings, System Updates, HTC software Updates, and uncheck Scheduled check button.

TS out
