password change on email

I had to change my password on my yahoo email address. So I went online to change it from my laptop, then i tried to change it on my phone, but it keeps telling me that my username and password do not match. My old password does not work either and I can no longer receive my email on my phone from that address. Am I missing something. I am not very good with technology, so can someone please help me. thanks in advance

Have you rebooted your phone? Try turning it off for a few minutes and back on to see if that helps.

If not then you might need to uninstall the app and reinstall it.
