Screen Timeout

Hey all,

This is going to seem like a straightforward issue, however when listening to music/podcasts the sound will cut out when the screen times out.

Is it supposed to do this as I would have thought the screen could timeout to preserve battery whilst music was playing?

It all depends what app you are using. A lot of the non stock ones do that and it is annoying.

Maybe try another app or there is an app that keeps the screen on in whatever apps you select within it. Not sure what its called though.

Just found the one I used and its called Screen On! Free from the market.

This often happens when listening through web browsers, but with Skyfire it won't cut out, or at least it doesn't for me. I haven't had a problem with Last.fm or TuneIn cutting off when screen shuts off, like jay_kay said, it depends on the app I guess (should have "prevent phone from sleeping" in permissions).
