Root Android Market missing a ton of apps - market issue or result of rooting?

I rooted my HTC Incredible last week and installed the Virtuous ROM with froyo 2.2.... I recently realized that after doing this there are a ton of apps missing from the android market... Even ones that I already have installed on my phone like Evernote and Google Sky Map. If i go to the downloads section of the market which should show the apps i have installed it shows none.
Code:

The verizon section of the market displays only three apps when I know there should be a whole lot more. What is going on? I cannot find any apps... When I search for something there is usually one or two apps that show up and are not even what I was looking for.

Is this a widespread problem with the market or a side effect of rooting and upgrading to the virtuous ROM?

Jim

When you installed the new ROM, you had to do a wipe. Did you back up your app's before you did that? If so, what did you use to back them up?

The only program out there that allows you to fully backup all of your apps, including market links, is Titanium Backup, which requires you to be rooted to use. I assume you didn't use this since you probably rooted last week and then installed the ROM, and THEN did your backup.

If you just backed them up with Astro or a similar program, the apk's are there but the market links are now broken, which is why they are not showing up in your market downloads.

Ummm ....

This is a particular thread about Apps disappearing off the market and this is about me being courteous to and following Android Forum suggested direction.

"Here are the similar threads we found:

2. y
3. z

Please take a look at those threads before you start a new one."

So there's absolutely no reason to be a Snarky Susan and a Passive Aggressive Pat.

And to keep with Android Forum etiquette, these last two comments don't add anything to the conversation so I wont be sad if they get marked by a mod.

Cheers.

Uhmm....This is an Incredible forum, not a Hero forum.

I'm not trying to be "snarky" or "passive aggressive." I happen to think it is a service to point out to someone what appears to be an error when they show to be using a hero and are posting in an Incredible forum. And to tell you the truth I really don't appreciate this response I got to what was intended to be a helpful/informative post. So take your criticism elsewhere. Now how "snarky" or "passive aggressive" is that?

That's not a bad suggestion but for me, it really did turn out to be a version issue. I didn't know some apps are hidden from sight on the market if you're not upgraded. Weird but I'd like to toss that out there too for any other people wondering the same thing. Thanks anyhow.

Try going to Settings-Applications-Manage Applications-All and scroll down to Market, and clear data/cache.

I had the same problem and this fixed it for me.
