I got no replies yesterday and I'm stuck. I don't know what to do.
Ever since V-Cast, my computer won't read the sd card on my HTC Incredible as a disk drive, so the only way I can transfer files, e.g. photos, is by removing the card. When I connect the phone, the computer knows I've plugged in a device, but nothing shows up in the list of drives. In Settings on the Incredible I do have disk drive selected.
What kills me is that this used to work fine but since V-Cast it doesn't. When I connected to the USB, the V-Cast window popped up. There was no way I could just use the phone's SD card as a disk drive. I didn't want V-Cast so I read on the forums how to defeat it, but that didn't help. Now I don't get the pop-up, but I still can't read the card as a disk, or at all for that matter, although the phone uses it fine.
I know I could take the card out and copy files, but I don't want to have to do just to transfer photos.
Please does anyone know how to solve this?
P.S. In the past I had rotten luck with Verizon support. They gave me wrong advice and couldn't fix constant (every couple of minutes) rebooting that went on for weeks, making the phone useless. In the end they had to replace the phone.
Can anyone help with the disk drive issue?
