I recently took out my Droid X sim card, and put it in my computer. I opened it up, and added a folder, and placed some videos on it from my old phone I had backed up on my comp.

I put the sim in the phone, and I cant find the damn folder anywhere. Is there a certain place to put this folder? Im confused.

I put another folder on it with pics, and that one shows up.

I also put a folder on the sim with my sounds, and that doesn't show up.

What gives? What am I missing here?

btw, it's an SD card, not a sim. but, semantics. i know what you meant.

you know, you can plug the phone into your computer with a USB cable, pull down the notification bar, click usb connected, and select mass storage mode.
that way, you can just use it like you would a flash drive, and not have to remove the SD. seems a lot easier than powering down, and having to reboot.

My question is similar, I can see folders I created under Albums on my phone, but only one of them shows up on the pc. Also, I can't figure out how to create a new folder on the sd card using the pc - is it possible? I am trying it on W7 32 bit, and as far as I can tell all drivers are installed and current. Also connected by usb in mass storage mode.

so, just go wherever you want to put the new folder. right click on an empty area, mouse over "new" and click "folder." then you can name it and start using it.

I'll try that tonight - I was trying to use the conventional windows explorer new, folder commands, but from the menu bar, not the window itself. If it doesn't work on 7, I'll try XP.

Oh, and any idea why the other folders that I created on the phone don't show up on the pc?

ETA - must be a W7 thing, works fine on XP. Can view all folders and make new ones. Ugh.
