I can access Gmail on a computer via WiFi only, on my iPad via WiFi only and on an iPhone via WiFi only, all using the same account - so why does the Android need 3G?
You can also access the Apple App Store via WiFi only - yet it seems the Android App Market also needs 3G.
Funny this limitation is not mentioned in any of the adverts for Android.
Wish I had known this before buying an Android phone. I live in a dead zone for 3G, so that means my new phone is useless at Home
I assume this is why it keeps saying 'validating phone number' when I try to setup email?
