Help Can anyone send an attachments with Gmail?

Nah, they just sit in the outbox until I delete them.

After a bit more fiddling it seems to be the phone rather than Gmail. I've set up my Virgin email account using the normal Mail app and that won't send mails with attachments either, although it does show them as being sent and they're in the sent items folder they never arrive at the other end. I used IMAP, and when I log into Virgin webmail it's there too in the sent items folder!

Scratchin' me head raw!

I certainly wouldn't rule out the problem being Virgin rather than the phone - I used to have enormous problems sending emails from my N95 when I was with them (until I got my Desire HD on Orange).

I am using SPRINT carrier, and an HTC HERO phone, rooted with Gingerbread. I have three gmail accounts. One default (my main one, that I sync addresses, contacts and calendars) and two others that I only sync the email sections. Problem is that I cannot send attachments from my main gmail account. I compose the email and the attachment, click send, it says message sent - but the message never arrives, and doesn't show up in my sent folder either (either the imap one or the regular one on my computer). not only that, but I find that 9 out of 10 times, if I am replying to an email in my main gmail account and click send, I get the little red "sending", and that's it - it freezes. It doesn't send, I cannot access the email again on my phone, and the ONLY thing I can do is delete it. There is no record of it being composed, no drafts, nothing - it just never existed. I have also noticed that if (when sending out test messages), if I send myself an email to my default gmail account FROM my default gmail account, it never shows up, never gets sent. So there are definitely some issues. Anyone got any ideas?
