Help with screen lock pattern on HTC Gratia aka HTC Aria

Hi everyone
I' am using a HTC Gratia it is the Europe version of HTC Aria. I' am trying to enable the pattern sceen lock.. But when it is turned on the only thing it looks it to change the sceen lock to something else. So can someone please help me?

Did you set a lockscreen pattern? What do you mean it by "it looks it to change the sceen lock to something else"?

Yes, I did set a look pattern..
This is a step by step
1. Settings/Security/Set up screen lock/Pattern
2. Then just draw a pattern
3. Click home
4. Lock the phone
5. When I then unlock the phone the pattern is not appearing
I expect that it should appear now. Or is it me that misunderstand the function?
6. Settings/Security/Change screen lock
7. Now it is asking for the lock screen pattern

That clears everything up bit. On your step 2, did you draw > Continue > Draw again > Confirm? Reading your step 7 I assume its confirmed. Just have to eliminate the possibility that you havent actually set it.

So, do you EVER get the pattern upon unlocking your phone after long periods of time? What is the setting right under "Change Screen Lock" set to? It should be titled "Lock Phone After"

Yes I did confirm the lock pattern..

No I never get the look pattern after locking the phone..

Yes, it is set to "5 minutes of inactivity".. Should this be set to "Immediately"?

I Solved it!.. Thank you for your help.. When setting it to "Immediately" the pattern appears when locking the phone
