Hi, I just bought a droid recently/used the battery to 0%. It won't let me charge it. I connected it to the wall charger, but when I turn the phone on (it only lets me for 2-3 seconds before it dies again), it says "connect your charger" even though it's connected. Does anyone know what I can do?

Did you leave it alone on the charger for, say, an hour before you tried to turn it on? If not, do it.

Yeah, I've left it on the charger, but it's not doing anything. Is there supposed to be a light indicating it's charging? I don't see anything at all that shows it is.
Yup, a light goes on right next to the micro USB port. BTW you are using a real Moto charger, right? If so, and if it is the one that comes with the Droid, are you sure the other end of the cord is firmly attacked to the wall socket part?

oh and sorry for the double post but it can't be the outlet because my lamp is plugged into it too... and the lamp works =)..

Okay actually.... I just moved it to another outlet and it's charging. But....But.... Why isn't it working on the outlet i put it on before? It was fine before this morning!! It still works because I just plugged in my laptop and my laptop's charging. What the heck?!?!

Take a look at this thread. Maybe that is what happened to you? It seems to be some sort of software bug with the battery status that happens every so often.

What's a "switched" outlet?

I think it might have been the temp cause I'm charging on my computer just fine at around 91-93 degrees Fahrenheit. In my outlet in my room it hit a 140 degree Fahrenheit! o_O

I noticed yesterday that my phone was getting pretty warm in the car dock (Seidio case and car dock) after running Navigation for a couple of hours and that it got to 52 Celsius. It then stopped charging and the battery began to drain. Took it out, power cycled it, then put it back in the dock and it began to charge again.

What's a "switched" outlet?

A switched outlet is an outlet that is controlled by a switch. Typically, the switch near the door of a room controls one of the outlets in the room. You then use that outlet to plug in a table lamp or something similar, and you can switch the lamp on as you enter the room.

A duplex outlet (the kind that has two individual receptacles, one abobe the other, mounted in the same box) is sometimes wired with one receptacle switched, the other non-switched. Drives some people crazy until they figure out which one is always on and which one is on sometimes.

Broken USB port. It can definitely happen, new or used.

Yes, many people reported often that problem of Android phones. Mine H2000 dual sim Android won't charge at all after 2 days of use, regardles of turned on / off the phone, or using the PC USB port or wall charger, and it's getting hot while plugged in for charging, but actually the battery isn't charging at all.

I solved the problem with a multicharger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNqo6O46-CM , and now the phone works ! It can't be charged normally with the of the box charger, nore with the USB cable, but at least I can charge the batt with the Multicharger and I quite happy for using the phone .:)

If it cannot be charged with the "out" of the box charger, return it. It is defective; the charger or the phone.

Selling anything? :p
Sir, I don't sell anything ! I just shared my solvind. Returnig the package to Hong-kong on my money is out of question, because
1: is too far and
2: I have to wait maybe 2 x 21 days ... and
3: I am not sure that the next handset will be working, IF the chinese will agree to send me back another one for free.
