I previous phone was a blackberry, which had seperate "fields" for first name, last name and company - so all of my contacts are stored as such. This has translated on my Hero to first & last name showing up under "Name" which is fine, and the company showing up in the "organization" field.
Frankly I don't care what google/htc calls it as long as it works, but the problem is that it doesn't if I am trying to dial someone. Lets say my insurance agent is Joe Smith with Progressive. If I cant remember his name and just try to dial progressive, smart dial doesn't recognize it and I get nothing for results. Now I can make a new entry with Progressive and put that in the "name" field, but that won't work very well if I have multiple contacts at a specific company.
I have looked at aContacts but I don't like the fact that it loses the standard htc look and feel. Are there any other options or apps that will force smart dial to look at company as well?
