How to install Clock Work Mod Recovery 2.5.1.8
These are instructions I have found on various sites as to how to install
ClockworkMod Recovery.
This is a step by step guide so you must make sure you do not miss any steps.
1. You must be rooted.
2. You must be able to copy files to your SD card. If you don't know how to do this you must find out first before attempting this procedure.
3. Download and install Android Terminal Emulator from the Market - Free
4. Create a directory called recovery on your SDCard.
5. Unzip both the recovery.zip and the flashimage.zip attached to this post. Unzipping these will yield 2 files. Recovery.img and flash_image.
6. Copy Both files to your SDCard in the directory /sdcard/recovery
If your SDCard is not in your phone, insert the card before continuing.
7. Open Terminal Emulator and execute the following commands.
$su (enter)
#mount -o remount,exec /dev/block//vold/179:1 /sdcard (enter)
#cd /sdcard/recovery (enter)
#./flash_image recovery recovery.img (enter)
The flash will take approximately 3 seconds
8. Power off the phone.
9. Holding the UP Volume button and END call button and then the power button will boot your phone into recovery mode. From their you can make a backup of your Phone.

The following is for those who plan to install the Icarus Mod:
IMPORTANT: Before partitoning your SDCard for Icarus, make a backup copy of the card, as the partition command will erase the SDCard.
Now you copy the IcarusMod zip file to the card and using the install zip file menu item in the recovery menu.
You should now be ready to install Icarus.
